ABOUT ME

My name is Andželika Zavackienė.

Welcome to my creative world, and thank you for your interest in my artwork.

I began my artistic journey in 2018 at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, attending adult non-formal education courses.

By profession, I am a nurse and a lecturer, teaching nursing management and leadership to nursing students. Painting, for me, is not only a form of meditation but also an important means of self-expression, allowing me to convey my inner states and emotions.

I create using oil paints on canvas. In my work, I strive not only to depict but also to feel – each piece becomes a reflection of emotion, spontaneously emerging from the moment, the flow of thoughts, and my inner state.

Travel has a significant influence on my artistic expression – the impressions, moods, and sense of freedom I experience naturally transform onto the canvas, becoming colors, rhythms, and subtle sensations.

Throughout my creative journey, I am guided and supported by my painting teacher, artist Assoc. Prof. Irma Leščinskaitė. With her guidance, I continue to develop not only my painting technique but also my artistic thinking.

CURRENTLY I AM WORKING ON

WHAT INSPIRES ME

The final result of the painting and the relaxation, while I’m painting is what inspires me the most. I get ideas from the world’s most famous artists. By making their reproductions, I learn and get inspiration for works. Nature and small Italian streets are what I have always been able to paint.

My arts

Technically, I use oil paints on canvas, and the paintings are made with loose and small strkes. My works are inspired by the world’s most famous impressionists and expressionists.
